Three questions, 32 hubs from our hub directory, 2–3 recommendations. The filtering runs on the same curated data as the works-with pages.

How the recommendation works

• Protocols are requirements: hubs without any radio/support for a protocol you checked are excluded; built-in radios rank above add-on or same-brand-only support.
• Ecosystem is a preference: hubs native to your ecosystem rank first; hubs that bridge their devices into Matter (so they show up in Apple/Google/Alexa anyway) rank next.
• Style shifts the ranking: DIY favors local-control platforms and coordinator sticks; plug-and-play hides coordinator sticks and penalizes subscription-dependent hubs.
